FAQ and troubleshooting
Does Draftify cost anything? Do I need an account?#
No and no. Your browser remembers who you are, so you can refresh or reconnect and keep your seat.
Champion images don't show in OBS#
- Check that the computer running OBS can reach
ddragon.leagueoflegends.com. All champion art comes from Riot's servers. A firewall, VPN or ad blocker that blocks it blocks the art. - In the browser source's properties, press Refresh cache of current page.
- Images that are slow to download are handled for you: the splash background waits until it has loaded, and pick cards fall back to smaller art when a skin image is slow. See Champion images.
- A brand-new champion only appears in drafts created after Riot published it. Drafts keep the patch they were created on.
There's no sound in OBS#
- Tick Control audio via OBS in the browser source and check the source's fader in the audio mixer.
- Check the link:
mute=onorvol=0silences the overlay. The overlay's sound settings are separate from the draft room's. See Sound. - Music on the overlay is on by default. Add
music=offto turn it off.
There's no sound in my browser#
Browsers block sound until you interact with a page. Click anywhere in the draft room once. Then check the speaker in the top bar.
The overlay is the wrong size#
Give the browser source your canvas size (1920×1080 for 1080p), and use scale= in the link to make the content bigger or smaller. Don't stretch the source in the OBS canvas. See Sizing and scale.
Can I use custom CSS on the overlay?#
Draftify doesn't have a custom CSS option. OBS's own Custom CSS field on a browser source still applies, but Draftify's class names aren't a stable interface and may change in any update. For your own design, use the overlay data endpoints, or the broadcast view with bg=transparent layered over your scene.
I see "Reconnecting…"#
Brief connection drops are handled automatically. Draftify reconnects within a moment and only shows Reconnecting… if it takes more than 2 seconds. A drafter's seat is held for 60 seconds while they're away, but the timer keeps running. If it doesn't go away, check your internet connection and reload the page. You'll get your seat back.
"This draft doesn't exist or has expired"#
- Check the code. New codes are 9 letters and digits and aren't case-sensitive.
- Drafts are kept for 30 days after their last activity. After that they're gone for good.
Can I change the settings after creating a draft?#
Only the team names (the host can rename both, and drafters their own unless that's turned off). For anything else, create a new draft.
A drafter disappeared mid-draft#
Their seat is held for 60 seconds. After that it's free, and anyone watching can take it over and continue for that side.
We picked the wrong champion#
The drafter who locked it can ask to undo their last pick or ban, during the draft or up to 15 seconds after the last pick. The other drafter has to approve.
Someone missed a pick because of the timer#
If the series has Late Selection on, they can ask to fill that slot later, and the other drafter approves or declines. See Late Selection.
Can I create lots of drafts at once?#
Each IP address can create up to 20 drafts every 10 minutes.
Is Draftify affiliated with Riot Games?#
No. Draftify isn't endorsed by Riot Games. Champion data and art are Riot's, loaded from Riot's public Data Dragon service.
