Creating a draft

Everything is on the home page at draftify.lol. Choose your settings and press Create draft. You land in the draft room with the link ready to copy.

Settings#

Setting Options Default What it does
Team 1, Team 2 Any name up to 32 characters Team 1, Team 2 Optional. The two names must be different (ignoring case). Teams aren't tied to a side: drafters choose Blue or Red each game.
Mode Normal, Fearless Normal In Fearless, a champion picked by either team in an earlier game of the series can't be picked or banned again. Fearless needs at least 2 games.
Number of games 1 to 5 1 How many games the series has. Choosing Fearless with 1 game switches it to 3.
Pick order Standard, Separate Standard Standard: the side sets the order, so Blue picks first and Red gets last pick. Separate: side and pick order are chosen separately, so either side can take first pick and the other side gets last pick.
Timer per action 30s, 45s, 60s, Off 30s Time for each pick and ban. With Off there's no countdown and nothing times out.
Disabled champions Up to 200 champions None These champions can't be picked or banned in any game of the series. They still show in the grid, greyed out with a DISABLED tag.
Allow Late Selection On, Off On A slot left empty because the timer ran out can be filled later, if the other drafter approves. See Late Selection.
Drafters can rename their team On, Off On With it off, only you (the creator) can rename the teams.
Role confirmation On, Off On Drafters can assign a role (Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot, Support) to each of their picks. Roles stay hidden from the other team and from viewers until the game ends. See Role confirmation.

Settings can't be changed after the draft is created, except team names.

The series uses the newest champion data from Riot at the moment you create it, and keeps that patch for every game. A champion released after you created the draft won't appear in it. Create a new draft to get it.

You're the host#

The browser that created the draft is its host. The host:

The host can't force anything once the draft has started, such as pauses or late picks. Being the host doesn't take a seat: to draft, take a side like anyone else.

There's one draft link for everyone:

https://draftify.lol/draft/k3qz9wmp4

Drafters and spectators all open it. A Join the draft dialog lets each person take a side or just watch. Copy it from that dialog, from Menu › Share, or by clicking the draft code in the top bar.

Menu also has two more links to copy:

Link Who it's for
Spectator link (Menu › Share) Viewers. It opens the draft as a spectator straight away, with no Join dialog and no seats offered, and it stays that way through refreshes and the next games of the series. Share it where you don't want viewers taking a seat by accident.
Broadcast link (Menu › Broadcast view) Your stream. It opens the broadcast view with default settings. To change the background, skins, size or sound, open the broadcast view and copy the overlay link from its controls instead.

You can add options to the link:

Add Effect
?seat=blue or ?seat=red Preselects that side in the Join dialog. The person still clicks to take it.
?seat=spectator Opens the draft as a spectator, with no Join dialog and no seats offered (the spectator link).
?game=2 Opens game 2 of the series. Without it, the link opens the current game.
?view=broadcast Opens the broadcast view.

Links from drafter.lol work too: role=blue and role=red act like seat=, role=spectator skips the dialog and starts watching, and team=<name> preselects that team's seat.

Draft codes#

New draft codes are 9 letters and digits, like k3qz9wmp4, and they aren't case-sensitive: K3QZ9WMP4 opens the same draft. To open a draft from the home page, paste its code or its whole link into Join a draft. (Older drafts have 8-character codes, which stay case-sensitive.)

Recent drafts#

The home page lists up to 30 drafts this browser created or opened, newest first, with their teams and progress. It shows 8 at a time; Show all lists the rest. The list is kept only in your browser. A draft that has expired shows greyed out as Expired once, then disappears.

How long drafts last#

A draft stays available for 30 days after its last activity. After that its link stops working and it can't be recovered.
